The 16 types are organised into four groups of four. Each group shares a core orientation toward the world.
The Analysts (NT)
Analysts lead with logic and strategy. They’re drawn to systems, theories, and long-range thinking. All four types in this group share high Openness and a preference for objective analysis over emotional reasoning.
The Diplomats (NF)
Diplomats are idealistic and people-oriented. They’re drawn to meaning, human potential, and values-based work. All four types share high Agreeableness and a preference for intuition over sensory detail.
The Sentinels (SJ)
Sentinels are practical, reliable, and stability-oriented. They respect established systems, keep commitments, and build the infrastructure that organisations run on. All four types share high Conscientiousness.
The Explorers (SP)
Explorers are adaptable, action-oriented, and present-focused. They think on their feet, respond well to novelty, and are most alive when something is actually happening. All four types share low Conscientiousness paired with practical intelligence.
