Privacy Policy

01Summary

Key principles

• ✓ Test responses are processed entirely within your browser. No response data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• ✓ No account registration or email address is required to use the service.
• ✓ Personal data is not sold or rented. Google provides our analytics and advertising and may use cookies and similar technologies as described below.
• ✓ Shareable result links encode only anonymous dimension scores — no personal identifiers.

02Data collection

What we collect and how

LucidTraits stores test progress and results in your browser's localStorage. This data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers at any point. You may remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

We use Google Analytics to collect usage data such as page views, approximate location, and browser and device type. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. This data is used to understand how the service is used and to improve it. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

When you use the share feature, your result type code and dimension percentages are encoded into a URL parameter. This URL contains no name, email address, device identifier, or any other personal information.

03Cookies

Cookies and browser storage

LucidTraits stores your test state and results in localStorage on your device. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure traffic, and Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.

04Third-party services

External dependencies

LucidTraits loads typefaces from Google Fonts. That request is subject to Google's privacy policy and may include your IP address.

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent through Web3Forms so they can be delivered to us by email. We use them only to reply to you.

Result images are generated entirely within your browser using the Canvas API. No image data is transmitted to our servers.

05Your rights

Data access and deletion

Because LucidTraits does not collect or retain personal data on our servers, there is no server-side data to request, export, or delete. All test data resides in your browser and can be removed at any time through your browser's site data settings.
